Somehow this year it seems that time has passed and left me completely oblivious. Not through lack of things happening, or things that need done. I just seem to be somewhat disconnected from the passage of time.
One day rolls into the next and nothing seems to change. It feels like the weather has been nothing but wet for months with quite a few mornings where the ground was white with frost.
One of the problems this detachment leads to is being unaware of the date. “Oh, I’ll do that tomorrow..” and a week passes before I realise I didn’t do “that” yet…
Christmas has managed to sneak up on me. I have no idea how. Christmas music has been playing for weeks. Nothing but christmas adverts on TV.
Still, each day I get up, go to work, come home, sleep….
So, if I’ve been neglecting you I appologise. It certainly wasn’t intentional on my part. If you’re expecting a christmas card from me, then I appologise again. I don’t seem to have found time to go get some and write them out. I suck at sending cards and keeping in touch at the best of times, but this year I’ve been worse than normal.
Still, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christams / Holiday Season. I hope Santa is good to those who expect him and those who do not get a chance to wind down and relax for a bit.
For the last few days I’ve been suffering from a bad cold. Nothing more severe than this but still pretty miserable. I believe I am on the mend now tho having spent most of my day off (today) in bed.
Trying to answer phone calls at work over the weekend was nothing short of painful, lucky for me the phones were pretty quiet both days.
