So, the phone call came this morning and they offered me the tech support job I was interviewed for on tuesday. It starts on the 17th so that gives me some time to get things organised, which is good.
The only down side is the travelling distance, even they were a bit apprehensive. Just means I need to figure out the best routes to get there. I know for sure I won’t be trusting the R.A.C’s route finder again any time soon, lol. Traffic could be a bit of a problem since I passed countless sets of roadworks on the way up there. No matter, I’ll figure it out.
Second try to congratulate you on this one. Seems the 1st one got lost in cyberspace for reasons unknown.
My 1st comment was that it might take you some time to get re-adjusted to a work schedule again (it was the case for me after my involuntary vacation of 6 months) but after chatting with you it seems that the commute will be the bigger challenge.
Coincidentally I’ve been working on the billing aspects of IPTV recently and have had to familiarize myself with the technology behind IPTV somewhat (switches, IGV’s, CAS and whatnot). Interesting stuff from an IT perspective.
